Eric F. Frazier

Writer/Author/Fotografer

Frazeology is my take on matters large and small, in the news or off the radar.

Peeing, Privacy and Politics

April 9, 2016August 27, 2019 Eric F. Frazier

Since politicians have made bathrooms a trending topic, I have a confession: I’ve been urinating in public all my life. Or at least it feels that way. For those of us with penises (and birth certificates to prove it), exposing…

New Word: Pledgislation

April 2, 2016August 27, 2019 Eric F. Frazier

Recent actions by North Carolina’s General Assembly have been called many things, but I couldn’t find the exact right word. So I coined one: pledgislation. Our politicians are certainly not alone in succumbing to this impulse. It’s a human failing…

Blaming ‘the Media’ is What’s Lame

January 8, 2016August 27, 2019 Eric F. Frazier

“For the 14th consecutive year, Fox News led in total viewers and in the 25-to-54-year-old demographic crucial to advertisers. The network’s average of 1.8 million viewers in prime time placed it second among all cable channels, the highest finish for…

Republicans Love Virgins

October 27, 2015August 27, 2019 Eric F. Frazier

“I’m not a politician,” said (fill in the blank). Both leading contenders for the Republican presidential nomination repeatedly deny being politicians. Former pediatric neurosurgeon Dr. Ben Carson this week overtook reality television star Donald Trump in national polls to lead…

About Eric F. Frazier

I am an independent writer and editor, working mostly under long-term contracts.

I'm also co-author of GPS Declassified: From Smart Bombs to Smartphones, the only book that traces exactly how a secret military technology wound up in your smartphone.

Frazeology is my take on matters large and small, in the news or off the radar. My approach is personal, but the goal is not to write about me. Rather, it is to offer subjective observations about experiences and concerns that we all share.

Away from the keyboard, I love to be in the outdoors with a camera and long lens in my hands.

Fotografy is my peculiar approach to photography, primarily bird studies and closeups of flora, fauna, and other natural wonders. EF Fotos, marked with my signature, are visual captures of nature and my travels through it.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by, and I hope you enjoy reading and viewing.
